THE GREATEST TEST OF HAZRATH IBRAHIM AND HIS SON

 

                           الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على سيد الأنبياء والمرسلين وعلى اله الطيبين الطاهرين

                                           واصحابي الأكرمين وعلى من أحبهم  وتبعهم بإحسان أجمعين إلى يوم الدين

                                                فا عوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

 surah al kusar :  فصل لربك وانحر

Translation : Oh! the followers of holy prophet saw pray to your almighty and sacrifice..

interpretation: 

فلما بلغ معه السعي قال يا بني اني ارى في المنام اني اذبحك فانظر ماذا ترى قال يا ابت افعل ما تؤمرقستجدني ان شاء الله من الصابرين وفديناه بذبح عظيم  قدصدقت الرؤيا انا كذلك نجزي المحسنين 

Explanation: The sacrificial process is since the time of Adam AS ,But this is a great story of a special sacrifice 

The incident is related by Ibrahim (peace be upon him) is the Ancestral grand father of the  Holy Prophet ( ) and hazrath Ibraheem AS is the (kaleelullah) of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala

It has been the way of Allah Almighty that the servant who is more beloved and loved are tested  by the almighty Allah SWTA such loved ones face more and more Sufferings and endures troubles in this world.

Hazrat Ibrahim (as) also went through the trials and tribulations of Allah Almighty, The greatest test of all these trials and patience was the command to sacrifice the only beloved of hazrath Ibraheem As that is hazrath Ishmael (as).

 The story of  trial of hazrath Ibraheem AS is as follows:

  Ibrahim (AS) did not have children for a while. He prayed for a  son for  about sixty years then a son was born who was the successors of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), Allah Almighty intention was to seperate the son(HAzrath Ismael)  from hazrath Ibrahim (peace be upon him).then almighty ordered to leave hazrath Ishmael AS  and Syeda Hajar AS  in the valley of Makkah.

 In obedience to the command by almighty, Ibrahim left  syeda Hajar and  Hazrath Ishmael in a place in Arabia where there was nothing but a few small hills. When Ibrahim (peace be upon him) came to this place and left Ishmael and started returning So Hajar grabbed Ibrahim's foot and asked, "By whom are you leaving us here?" Has Allah commanded you to do so? then Ibrahim (peace be upon him) says yes, this is a divine command So Hajar (as)says with a warmth of faith that then he will not let us perish but will keep us safe.

 Ibrahim (as)succeed in this test of separation of his only child  which he got after sixty years of prayers and  was  busy in spreading the religion of Allah Almighty. 

once again almighty wanted to test Hazrath Ibrahim by Showing  a dream that he  is slaughtering his beloved son Ishmael (As) After seeing this dream, Ibrahim (as) sacrificed one hundred camels again the second time he had a similar dream, he (As) slaughtered 100 camels again Then for the third time he (As) Ishmael (as) being slaughtered in a dream.

So now   was convinced that this is the intention of Allah Almighty  and Hazrath Abraham AS was ready to turn  the dream into reality.

It was not the dream of a common man to assume that those evil dreams or scattered thoughts Rather, it is the dream of  hazrath Ibrahim AS It is the dream of a true prophet and devil cannot succeed in misleading the Prophet . So Ibrahim(As) left Syria and went to Mecca with full conviction. 

When he reached Makkah, he saw that  hazrath Ishmael (AS) had reached the age of maturity. Then He(As) told Ishmael (As) the whole matter and advised him that you Tell me? Ishmael (As) was also the son of Ibrahim  and the son of a chosen prophet They said: O my father! Do what Allah has commanded you to do and sacrifice  me; insha'Allah You will find patience with perseverance in this matter.

Allah Almighty was testing Ibrahim (as) whether he  could obeyed the command or not , Ibrahinm (As) is a khaleelullah obeyed every command of Allah and brought his  innocent son Ishmael in this test. So that the sacrifice of the son is not forcibly taken away from the father only Also include son's consent He  asked, his "Son, what is your opinion? " the son replied, "Father, what is the point of advice in this?" and said Obey Almighty's command. Insha'Allah, you will find me patient and determined So Ibrahim (As) took Ishmael(As)to Mina and laid him on the ground He put his knee on his chest and stabbed her in the throat But the knife could not cut Ishmael's throat Although the job of the knife is to cut But here the way Abraham (peace be upon him) was obeying the command of Allah In the same way, the knife was obeying Allah's command Ibrahim was saying with a knife, "Cut." On the other hand, Allah was saying with a knife, don't cut When Allah Almighty tested Ibrahim (As) completely and the angels witnessed him Allah said to Ibrahim(As)

O Ibrahim "The vision has come true, so do we reward the doers of good"

Gabriel (As) was commanded to take a goat from heaven and lay it in the place of Ishmael (As).And Ibrahim (ibrahim

) was commanded to slaughter him And we sacrificed him with a great sacrifice.

                                                              hadith:

It is narrated on the authority of Umm l-Mumineen  Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqah (Aly) that the Holy Prophet (saw) said: which act  of  Adam AS sons' is more beloved  to the almighty the most eternal on  the day of eid ul zuha is non other than  shedding of the blood and this sacrificial animal  testifies to  the lord that the son of Adam sacrifice me on your name .sacrificial animal is accepted by Allah Almighty before it falls on the ground Therefore, offer the sacrifice with sincerity.
